Continuing The Legacy – Humanitarian Mission to Padang

“Khidmat Bakti Siswa” (KBS) or “Student Community Service” being an integral part
of the annual Ramadhan Discovery program organized by Rakan Masjid under the guidance
of Mosque Administration Unit, has successfully exposed our students to the livelihood of the
surrounding community. It has proven to enrich their experience in serving the society and
enhance their cultural awareness.

Now that it is high time we broaden the scope of our students outreach beyond the
international borders. To add up to the first ever humanitarian mission by UTP students in
Padang in January 2010, this year KBS is projected to continue the noble work of the pioneers.

Tentative:

Place: Padang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia – local community of affected areas in

Pariaman and Padang as well as Padangpanjang

Participants: KBS comities, Ramadhan Discovery High Comities, Rakan Masjid representative

and Mosque Administration Unit representatives.
